Job Summary
Outbound Federal BDR responsible for proactively identifying and engaging key stakeholders across the Federal landscape (DoD, Civilian agencies, Intelligence Community), qualifying opportunities for SolarWinds’ Secure-by-Design solutions, delivering high-impact demonstrations, and maintaining meticulous Salesforce records to align with Federal procurement timelines and agency missions.
Required Qualifications
- Federal Sales Experience: 1–2 years in lead qualification or business development targeting the Federal Government (DoD or Civilian)
- Procurement Literacy: Familiarity with the Federal procurement process, contract vehicles (e.g., SEWP, GSA) and the role of Federal Systems Integrators
- Self-Starter Mentality: Enthusiastic approach to Federal prospecting and learning SolarWinds' secure monitoring software
- Tech Literacy: Proficiency with Salesforce and the Microsoft Office suite
- Interpersonal Excellence: Strong communication skills suitable for engaging high-ranking government officials and military personnel
