Job Summary
Lead development and execution of outage strategies for refueling and forced outages at a commercial nuclear facility, ensuring alignment with safety, quality, and performance standards. Build and manage a dedicated outage team responsible for all aspects of planning and execution, including creating pre-outage milestones, defining scope, and overseeing schedule development. Supervise the planning function to ensure accurate forecasting and milestone adherence, while establishing performance indicators based on industry benchmarks. Regularly communicate readiness and execution status to senior leadership, implement a lessons-learned process, prepare final reports, and facilitate post-outage critiques. Participate in the site's Emergency Response Organization as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors or technical degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field; or a Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) license
- 10+ years of experience in the nuclear industry, with at least 5 years in work control, outage planning/management, maintenance, operations, engineering, or project management
- Demonstrated experience in team supervision and leadership
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and industry-standard scheduling software
- A continuous improvement mindset with a track record of driving innovation
