Job Summary
The Outage Supervisor is responsible for coordinating unit outage planning, establishing project schedules, preparing specifications for replacement parts, troubleshooting failures, and developing preventive maintenance procedures. This role requires a practical, solution-focused approach, strong problem-solving skills, and mechanical aptitude. Candidates should possess experience with machine tools, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. An Associate Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required, along with experience in power generation. This position includes managing project safety, cost, and schedules, and may require being on-call for emergencies.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 3 years of project management or team lead experience preferred
- Experience/exposure in the power generation field; hydro specific experience is preferred
- Demonstrated safe work habits and familiarity with OSHA standards
- Familiarity with rigging, craning, confined space, work at height, and electrical best practices
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with hydro turbine or centrifugal pump design considerations
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Programs (IFS)
- Familiarity with document management (Share Point)
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (Litmos)
