Outage Management Specialist, Distribution Analytics

Job Summary
Outage Management Specialist supports distribution reliability reporting, OMS dashboards, and outage-management tools within the ADMS Reporting & Analytics group. Plays a foundational role in stabilizing and operationalizing emerging analytics tools and pilot programs, coordinating with Distribution Operations, Engineering, Regulatory, Capital Portfolio, and IT to implement analytics platforms, data sources, and dashboards; develops documentation, processes, and user guidance; analyzes outage and asset data to identify trends and opportunities; supports storms and regulatory data requests; and contributes to continuous improvement of reporting and visualization capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in an engineering or IT related discipline
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 5 years experience in IT, DCC/TCC operations or Engineering
- Strong teamwork and cross-organizational collaboration
- Problem solving across multiple projects
- Understanding of distribution equipment and electrical distribution system operations
- Familiarity with FirstEnergy Manual of Operations and APH
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, NMS, GIS, EMS/SCADA) and communication skills
- Understanding of FirstEnergy storm restoration process
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Occasional travel within the United States and FirstEnergy footprint
