Out-of-School Time Site & Scheduling Coordinator

Job Summary

Develop daily and weekly site schedules, plan and facilitate at least four lessons per month, and review Youth Development Professionals' lesson plans. Maintain accurate student and snack records, manage staff attendance, and communicate daily with parents regarding check-ins, enrollment, and behavioral challenges. Assist students with personal hygiene, ensure safe transportation home, and support staff by monitoring child ratios and reporting staffing issues immediately. Engage students through play and conversation while modeling positive behavior to foster a safe, clean, and inviting environment. Manage out-of-school time staff schedules across multiple sites, including before, after, and summer programs, ensuring a 1:15 staff-to-student ratio.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license
  • Reliable transportation
  • One year of experience taking care of at least four school-aged children in a child care setting (daycare or after-school program)
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with school administrators, personnel, students, parents and the public
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Ability to make decisions quickly and independently
  • Appropriate discretion to know when guidance is needed

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in education or human development
  • Valid Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, or a similar credential with emphasis in the care of school age children, and one year of verifiable experience caring for and supervising four or more school-aged children
  • Two years of college coursework in the field of education with emphasis in the areas of preparing and implementing lesson plans, human growth and development, behavior management, interpersonal communication, art education, music education, physical education, and recreation
