Job Summary
Build personal and meaningful relationships with YMCA members, participants, volunteers, and guests while responding to inquiries promptly. Supervise and support KFY OST programs at all locations by providing direct supervision to children in a safe, nurturing environment. Support and train staff in planning engaging, enrichment-based, age-appropriate activities and provide leadership to co-staff. Adhere to program standards including safety and cleanliness protocols, and attend staff meetings, training, and dedicated events. Follow YMCA policies and procedures related to medical, disciplinary, child abuse prevention, and emergencies. Complete required certifications and health forms within the first 30 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- At least 21 years of age
- Must pass a background check
- Minimum of 1 year supervising 3+ staff
- 3+ years' experience working with youth preferably in a school age setting
- Effective verbal communication skills
- CPR, First Aid, AED certifications, and Child Abuse Prevention training with the first 30 days of hire
- Completed health form within the first 30 days of hire
Desired Qualifications
- Behavioral management experience within a School, Childcare, Camp setting or parenthood
- 2-4 years' experience working with children with cognitive and developmental disabilities
