Job Summary
Develop and implement the Out of School Care program at the Shawnigan Lake Community Centre while adhering to licensing policies and guidelines. Collaborate with the Child Care Coordinator to manage daily operations and ensure compliance with all safety and health standards. Support facility operations through split shifts between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, with hours varying based on operational needs. Submit a resume and cover letter by the closing date, and be prepared for potential testing and a satisfactory police information check during the interview process.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Secondary School Graduation
- Have completed a course, or a combination of courses, of at least 20 hours duration in child development, guidance, health and safety, or nutrition
- Child Care Licensing Approved First Aid Course
- Must be 19 years of age
- Certificate of health
- Three letters of reference
- Criminal record check
- Satisfactory police information check
Desired Qualifications
- Early Childhood Education, Child and Youth Care Diploma or other related degree or working towards acquiring your diploma
