Job Summary
Operate a Class A tractor-trailer safely across regional corridors spanning Indianapolis, IN; Zanesville, OH; and St. Joseph, MO. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections per DOT regulations, manage electronic logging device records, and load, secure, and unload freight while verifying shipment contents. Maintain consistent communication with dispatch regarding route status and delays, adhere strictly to Hours of Service rules, and perform basic roadside maintenance. Represent the company professionally at customer and shipper locations, keeping the cab and trailer clean and compliant with standards. This role requires extended time away from home and a valid Class A CDL with at least three years of OTR experience.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean MVR
- Minimum 3 years of verifiable OTR or long-haul CDL driving experience
- Current DOT medical certificate (or ability to obtain one prior to start)
- Proficiency with Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs) and standard fleet technology
- Strong knowledge of federal and state DOT regulations, HOS rules, and FMCSA requirements
- Ability to safely operate a 53' dry van or flatbed trailer
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
