Job Summary
Operate a Class A tractor-trailer safely across regional corridors including Indianapolis, Zanesville, and St. Joseph, ensuring cargo integrity and on-time delivery. Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections per DOT regulations, manage electronic logging device records, and load/unload freight while verifying shipment contents. Maintain strict adherence to Hours of Service rules, perform roadside maintenance, and communicate route status with dispatch. Keep the vehicle clean and compliant with all federal and state transportation standards.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean MVR
- Minimum 3 years of verifiable OTR or long-haul CDL driving experience
- Current DOT medical certificate (or ability to obtain one prior to start)
- Proficiency with Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs) and standard fleet technology
- Strong knowledge of federal and state DOT regulations, HOS rules, and FMCSA requirements
- Ability to safely operate a 53' dry van or flatbed trailer
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
