Job Summary
Operate various truck types including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks while conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety. Load and unload freight safely and efficiently, utilizing forklifts when necessary, and navigate routes effectively while adhering to traffic laws. Maintain accurate delivery logs, communicate with dispatch regarding schedules and road issues, and provide exceptional customer service during deliveries. Work both day and night shifts with a commitment to safety protocols and excellent time management. Valid CDL with a clean driving record is required, and experience with manual transmission vehicles or specialized trailers is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Must be available and comfortable to work both Day and Night shifts
- Valid commercial drivers license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Strong understanding of route driving and logistics management
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently
- Commitment to safety protocols and procedures while on the road
Desired Qualifications
- Experience driving manual transmission vehicles is preferred
- Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and other specialized truck types is a plus
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is highly desirable
- Ability to operate forklifts for loading and unloading freight is advantageous
