Job Summary
OTR Driver responsible for safe, efficient mail transportation over long distances, adhering to DOT regulations and company policies. Performs pre-trip/post-trip inspections, maintains logs (DOT/ELD), and delivers with accurate documentation. Communicates with clients and dispatch, navigates varied road conditions and weather, and works irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays. Salary is salaried with eligibility for biweekly OTR stipend and quarterly bonus. Responsibilities include operating 26' box trucks with lift gates and tractor trailers, loading/unloading, maintaining DVIRs and delivery receipts, and completing all assigned training while managing fuel, tolls, and trip expenses. Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED, valid Class A CDL with endorsements, at least 3 years of verifiable driving experience, clean MVR, valid DOT medical card, and pass background screenings; strong English communication and safety focus are required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements as required by federal and state regulations
- Minimum of 3 years of verifiable commercial driving experience as a Class A CDL Driver
- Must have and maintain a clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations or accidents within the past 3-5 years
- Must have a valid DOT Medical Examination Card
- Must pass all pre-employment and continuous background screening and monitoring including but not limited to (criminal, MVR, random drug and alcohol screenings, active clearinghouse status)
- Must be able to speak English at a proficient level as described by FMCSA
