Job Summary
OTR Class A CDL Driver responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of mail over long distances across multiple states. Performs thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintains DOT logs and DVIRs, communicates with dispatch and clients, and adheres to DOT/HOS regulations. Manages fuel, tolls, and trip expenses, secures signatures upon delivery, and navigates varying road conditions and severe weather. Requires ability to work irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays; compensation includes salaried pay with potential biweekly stipends and quarterly bonuses.
Required Qualifications
- CDL Class A required
- OTR driving experience preferred
- ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- strong communication and problem-solving skills
- ability to adhere to DOT/HOS regulations
- safety-focused with ability to handle irregular hours including nights, weekends, holidays
