Job Summary
Screen patients in an outpatient setting focusing on neurological disorders of the ear, the facial nerve, and the lateral skull base. Conduct patient screening for surgical candidacy and manage treatment plans and medications for complex non-surgical conditions. Assist in the care and management of otology and neurotology patients within a multidisciplinary team supported by dedicated clinical staff. The role includes equitable practice calls for general ENT.
Required Qualifications
- Current NCCPA Certification
- Active or eligible for licensure by the State of Florida
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Bachelor's degree from accredited physician assistant training program
- Successful completion of Annual Orthopedic Education Requirements upon hire and then annually as outlined in the Orthopedic Program(s) Education Plan
- Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Ability to work in a set acute care setting
- Managing patient care which can include critical care, OB/GYN, Oncology, and Pediatrics
- Graduate with a master's degree or certificate from an accredited physician assistant program at an accredited school or college
- Licensed by the Florida Board of Medicine and the Board of Osteopathic Medicine
- Perform medical services delegated by the supervising physician(s)
- Adhere to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program
- Comply with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and other regulatory and accreditation standards
- Undergo background screening through The Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse
Desired Qualifications
- ENT Experience
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Demonstrated clinical competency skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of pharmacology as it relates to health care practice and current prescription writing skills/DEA licensing
- Demonstrated skills in documentation in medical records to substantiate accurate billing
- M D: Masters Degree
