Job Summary
Diagnose, manage, and treat ear-related conditions in pediatric and adult patients, including hearing loss, chronic ear disease, tinnitus, and balance disorders. Perform medical and surgical procedures related to ear diseases, evaluate patients for hearing rehabilitation and implantable technologies, and interpret diagnostic findings to develop comprehensive treatment plans. Provide preoperative and postoperative care for otologic surgical patients while educating families about diagnoses, treatment options, and preventative care. Maintain accurate medical records and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Requires an MD or DO with board certification in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, a valid Ohio medical license, and successful completion of an accredited residency program.
Required Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery
- Successful completion of an accredited Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery residency program
- Valid Ohio medical license or eligibility to obtain one
- Advanced knowledge of the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and disorders of the ear, hearing, and balance systems
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care
Desired Qualifications
- Additional focused training and/or demonstrated experience in otology preferred
