Job Summary
Conduct skilled occupational therapy evaluations and treatments for residents recovering from illness, injury, surgery, stroke, and functional decline. Develop and update individualized treatment plans focused on ADLs, mobility, safety, cognition, and independence. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including PT, ST, Nursing, and providers to support rehabilitation outcomes and discharge planning. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and participate in resident care planning meetings while supporting resident and family education initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an approved school of occupational therapy
- State license to practice occupational therapy
- Two years' experience in occupational therapy
- Ability to direct others
- Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing
- Current, valid CPR/BLS credential
- Sense of responsibility and ability to work well with residents, families, and other staff members
- Qualities of maturity, diplomacy, and ability to work well with others
- Ability to work with geriatric and chronically ill residents, as well as other professionals in a friendly and helpful manner
- Ability to perform tasks to established standards of excellence
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level

- Interest in occupational therapy treatment programs for the geriatric and subacute populations utilizing a team approach
