OT Assistant

OT Assistant provides rehabilitative, skilled and medically necessary occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to patients with physical functioning disorders in a skilled nursing facility. Duties include administering procedures such as manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, and modalities; assessing patient progress and communicating with the supervising OT to adjust treatments; providing consultation and counseling to patients and families; documenting all regulatory and clinical information in the electronic documentation system; and supporting CEU participation for the therapy team.
