Job Summary
Osteopathic Principles and Practices (OPP) physician faculty member responsible for teaching, mentoring, and evaluating medical students in the OPP curriculum across the first through fourth years. Duties include developing and delivering lectures and hands-on labs, fostering an engaging learning environment, contributing to curriculum design and assessment, advising students on academic and professional development, administering assessments, engaging in scholarly activities, and participating in faculty meetings and committees. Compliance with ICOM policies and AOA Code of Ethics is required.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from a COCA-accredited medical school
- Active medical license for the state of Idaho (or transition with license within 3 months of hire)
- Board certification or board eligible by the appropriate AOA specialty board
- Experience teaching Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) / Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine (NMM)
- Experience with curricular and instructional design and educational theory/evaluation preferred
- Team-oriented, collaborative, strong organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Ability to work across disciplines with administrators, faculty and students
