Job Summary
OSP Inspector & Site Surveyor needed to perform on-site inspection of fiber optic cable placement and acceptance testing, using tablets, GPS, and ArcGIS online to document and manage field data. Responsibilities include supervising construction activities to ensure conformance with specifications, providing technical support for on-site conflicts, coordinating with contractors and client representatives, reviewing unit designations and project maps, and maintaining daily timesheets and expense reporting. Projects are primarily fiber-to-the-home, with aerial or buried placements, requiring travel to Field Iowa and Field Minnesota; strong emphasis on field observation, documentation, and adherence to contract requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in outside construction industry, military communications, utility, locating services, or related industry
- Must understand and be able to use ArcGIS online to review project maps and determine scope
- Valid motor vehicle driver’s license in good standing (no DWI/DUI convictions)
