Job Summary
Install new Fiber Optic Network facilities, including burying underground and aerial lines. Pothole existing utilities, place vaults/handholes/manholes, excavate trenches, core drill building entrances, and set marker posts. Place fiber in new and existing conduits while documenting work progress. Haul and move equipment, trailers, and materials between projects, and assist with cleaning inventory yards. Cross train with other teams and perform other duties as required. This role demands physical labor including lifting up to 100 pounds, working outside in all elements, and extended travel for overnight or weekly stays. Candidates must hold a current driver's license (21+ or CDL endorsement preferred) and pass criminal background, motor vehicle record, and substance screening checks.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Hold a current driver's license
- Able to perform manual tasks requiring frequent walking, stooping, crouching, reaching, lifting, digging, pushing and pulling
- Able to lift materials weighing up to 100 pounds
- Able to work outside in all elements
- Must be able to travel for extended periods of time (overnight and weekly stays required)
- Must have the ability to pass pre-employment checks, which include a criminal background check, motor vehicle record check, and substance screening, following federal law
- Must have an eye for detail
- Must have a solid work ethic
