OSP Construction Technician (100% Travel Required)

Job Summary
Oversee and manage the quality assurance program at OSP construction project sites, reading plans, interpreting specifications, and initiating actions to keep progress on schedule. Provide expert oversight of construction crews to ensure fiber and infrastructure placement meets engineering plans, while monitoring special inspections, materials testing, and managing RFIs and submittals. Act as the on-site representative during various construction stages, solving problems regarding design modifications and confirming quality documentation meets owner requirements. This role requires five or more years of construction inspection experience specifically with Fiber/OSP, the ability to work in diverse terrain and weather conditions, and 100% travel to job sites.

- Five (5) or more years' experience performing construction inspection specifically with Fiber/OSP
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and codes
- Valid driver's license and a good driving history
- Schedule flexibility
- 100% travel to job sites
- Ability to work in diverse terrain and weather conditions
- Ability to work in all types of terrain and weather conditions on project sites
- Ability to identify and avoid potential hazards for workers and the public in and around project sites
- Ability to oversee and manage the quality assurance program at the project site
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications at various stages of a project
- Ability to initiate actions needed to keep construction progress on schedule
- Ability to solve on-site problems and situations regarding construction of the project and design modifications
Desired Qualifications
- Bisci certification(s)
- Associate's degree in a construction related field
