Job Summary
Conduct morning and afternoon care shifts for primary school children at Helping Hands Burpengary, partnering with parents and school communities to support development through play. Deliver engaging experiences while accommodating university timetables, placements, and other commitments within a split-shift model. Maintain mandatory working towards or completed qualifications for a 2 Year Qualified Educator in QLD, complete National Child Safety Training, and uphold child safety principles through thorough background checks. Earn competitive hourly pay with extra rewards for split shifts, while building leadership skills for potential progression to Assistant Coordinator or Coordinator roles.
Required Qualifications
- Working towards or completed a relevant qualification to work as a 2 Year Qualified Educator in QLD in accordance with ACECQA
- Availability Tuesday - Thursday for split shifts
- National Child Safety Training completion prior to onboarding (via Gecko)
- A genuine love for working with children
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- A team player with aspirations to take on leadership opportunities
- Hold or be willing to obtain a national police check (which we will cover!) and a state working-with-children check
- Must have valid Australian work rights
