Job Summary

Conduct morning and afternoon care shifts for primary school children at Helping Hands Oxenford, supporting development through play within the Rise then Shine and Stay and Play programs. Manage split shift schedules including extra holiday hours, while maintaining strong communication with parents and the team. Complete mandatory National Child Safety Training and background checks prior to onboarding, ensuring adherence to child safeguarding principles. Must be available for at least three afternoon shifts weekly and hold valid Australian work rights. This role offers paid training pathways to Assistant Coordinator or Coordinator positions for those pursuing careers in teaching, psychology, or childcare.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be available for at least 3 afternoon shifts per week
  • A genuine love for working with children
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • A team player with aspirations to take on leadership opportunities
  • Hold or be willing to obtain a national police check (which we will cover!) and a state working-with-children check
  • Must have valid Australian work rights

Desired Qualifications

  • Working towards or completed a relevant qualification to work as a 1 or 2 Year Qualified Educator in QLD in accordance with ACECQA
  • National Child Safety Training completion prior to onboarding (via Gecko)
