Job Summary
Conduct morning and afternoon OSHC programs at Helping Hands Ipswich Junior, engaging primary school children in creative activities like building rockets and scoring goals. Partner with parents and school communities to support child development through play in fun, engaging environments. Pick up shifts across open hours, including the Rise then Shine Program (6:00am–9:00am) and Stay and Play Program (2:00pm–6:00pm), with extra hours available during school holidays. Maintain strong communication skills and demonstrate a genuine love for working with children while adhering to strict child safety and safeguarding principles.
Required Qualifications
- Must be available for at least 3 afternoon shifts per week
- A genuine love for working with children
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- A team player with aspirations to take on leadership opportunities
- Hold or be willing to obtain a national police check (which we will cover!) and a state working-with-children check
- Must have valid Australian work rights
Desired Qualifications
- Working towards or completed a relevant qualification to work as a 1 or 2 Year Qualified Educator in QLD in accordance with ACECQA
- National Child Safety Training completion prior to onboarding (via Gecko)
