Job Summary
Conduct morning and afternoon care shifts for primary school-aged children at Helping Hands Banksia Beach, supporting development through play in engaging environments. Partner with parents and school communities to create exciting, unforgettable experiences while accommodating university timetables and placements. Maintain strict child safety and safeguarding principles by completing required National Child Safety Training and holding a valid working-with-children check. Work flexible split shifts including Rise then Shine and Stay and Play programs, with extra pay available for split shifts and holiday coverage.
Required Qualifications
- National Child Safety Training completion prior to onboarding (via Gecko)
- Must be available for at least 3 afternoon shifts per week
- Hold or be willing to obtain a national police check
- Hold or be willing to obtain a state working-with-children check
- Must have valid Australian work rights
Desired Qualifications
- Working towards or completed a relevant qualification to work as a 1 or 2 Year Qualified Educator in QLD in accordance with ACECQA
- A genuine love for working with children
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- A team player with aspirations to take on leadership opportunities
