Job Summary
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for managing inventory in a secure parts room, maintaining logs of inventory items, conducting daily physical inventories, and monitoring inbound and outbound inventory shipments. This role requires strong organizational skills, mechanical abilities, and the capability to operate heavy equipment, including forklifts and overhead cranes. Candidates must possess strong PC skills, particularly in Excel and Word, and the role demands a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. A high school diploma and warehouse inventory control experience are required, and forklift certification is necessary.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Warehouse/inventory control experience
- Strong PC skills including Excel, Word, and Microsoft Office
- Basic math and analytical skills
- Must maintain a safe driving record as required by company policy
- Must be able to read, write and speak in English
- Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Ability to pay attention to detail
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with JDE
- Versatility in all OSES product lines
