Job Summary
Install, operate, repair, remove, and maintain company tools and oilfield equipment while driving mobile cranes, pickup trucks, and trailers to deliver tools over state lines. Inspect equipment for preventative maintenance, complete job reports, driving logs, and trip sheets, and assist in job action planning with customers. Communicate daily with management regarding job changes, equipment needs, and site issues, and conduct pre-frac meetings with vendors. Perform other duties as assigned, including training less experienced employees and maintaining open lines of communication with district managers and customers. This safety-sensitive role requires extensive travel, 24/7 on-call availability, and adherence to all DOT and customer safety policies.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Must be able to travel for an extensive number of days
- Must be on call 24/7
- Must maintain a safe driving record as prescribed by company policy
- Must successfully pass pre- and post-employment drug and alcohol tests per company policy
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Must be able to lift 75 lbs. from 6-inch level up to a 42-inch level frequently
- Must be able to swing a 6 lb. sledgehammer in a hammering motion across the chest frequently
- Must have ability to use fine hand and finger motor skills
- Must be able to push/pull 140 lbs. of force frequently
- Must be able to climb up equipment such as a forklift, ladder frequently
- Must require appropriate PPE to be worn
- Must be able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Must be able to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Must be proficient with a computer
- Must have ability to work and drive in all types of weather conditions
- Must have mechanical abilities
- Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Must be able to think quickly in emergency type of situations on job site locations
- Must be able to operate hand tools
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must have a current D.O.T. medical card
- Must be able to complete all product line knowledge testing per requirements to progress to next level
- Must abide by all Oil States Energy Services, LLC Safety and Operational Policies and Procedures
- Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies
- Must abide by all Customer Safety policies and procedures while on customers job site
- Must be able to drive and operate mobile crane truck, pickup and trailer to deliver tools over state lines up to 70% of the time depending on district location
- Must be able to regularly drive company vehicle in a safe manner, observing all company and government regulations
- Must be able to regularly inspect company equipment for preventative maintenance purposes
- Must be able to complete all paperwork on in a timely manner as required by company and supervisor
- Must be able to perform maintenance and report on all company vehicles, and/or company owned and rental equipment
- Must be able to communicate with service company and oil company personnel
- Must be able to stay up to date on all required training (including, but not limited to, HSE, customer required, etc.)
- Must be able to assist in pre-job safety meetings to include review of job safety analysis (JSA) process
- Must be able to maintain open lines of communication with District Manager and Operations District before, during and after job completion
- Must be able to maintain open lines of communication with various customers regarding job updates, problems, tool procedures, and hazards on job site locations
- Must be able to learn SOP's and work instructions per respective product line
- Must be able to learn hand signals for job site (crane operation and vehicles)
- Must be able to train and mentor less experienced employees
- Must be able to oversee job site services and provide direction to onsite labor when needed
- Must be able to assist in job action planning with customer on location
- Must be able to ensure proper delivery of product
- Must be able to assist in the shop and make deliveries when available
- Must be able to sign off that all tools and equipment are correctly loaded and ready for the current or upcoming job
- Must be able to conduct location pre-frac meetings with third party vendors and company representatives
- Must be able to communicate with management daily to include, job changes, equipment needs, timelines, job issues, quality issues, customer concerns, employee concerns
- Must be able to supervise employees and third-party vendors while on location
- Must be able to act as point of contact with Customer/Company Man on any job assigned to oversee
- Must be able to oversee and supervise equipment in the yard as it is being prepared for a job
- Must be able to learn hand signals for job site (crane operation and vehicles)
- Must be able to complete all product line knowledge testing per requirements to progress to next level
- Must be able to abide by all DOT requirements
- Must be able to abide by all company and government regulations
- Must be able to observe all company and government regulations
- Must be able to ensure management is informed of area activities and attends meetings as required
- Must be able to maintain and carry a current D.O.T. medical card
- Must be able to wear appropriate PPE to be worn
- Must be able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Must be able to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English
