Job Summary
Audit and enforcement duties within the Oregon Department of Revenue OSBP Tax Auditor (Tax Auditor 1): perform audits of commercial activity, receipts, income, and deductions; examine financial records and statements; prepare concise work papers and reports; may work solo or as a supporting auditor on joint audits; conduct interviews with business owners or representatives; use computer-based tools to document findings; may manage delinquent returns and estimate taxable activity using various information sources; in-state hybrid work arrangement available; residency in Oregon required.
Required Qualifications
- Four years of work experience in tax compliance, tax preparation, tax auditing, audit defense, professional accounting, providing law training, or developing tax forms or instructions; OR An equivalent combination of relevant education, training, and experience.
- A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field will substitute for up to three years of experience.
