OS&D Clerk

Regional OS&D Clerk responsible for investigating, documenting, and resolving freight discrepancies (overages, shortages, and damaged shipments) across multiple terminals within the KCY region. Acts as liaison between operations, customers, carriers, and claims to ensure accurate shipment tracking, timely resolution, and compliance with policies and regulations. Responsibilities include reviewing shipping documents (bills of lading, delivery receipts, freight bills, tracking records), coordinating with terminal personnel, warehouse staff, drivers, customers, and carriers to locate missing freight, documenting OS&D cases in company systems, maintaining records of claims and resolutions, monitoring OS&D reports, providing management updates, conducting root-cause analysis to reduce freight claims, communicating with customers regarding status, ensuring compliance with transportation regulations, coordinating return/redelivery/transfer of overage freight, facilitating claim settlements with claims and customer service teams, and generating regional OS&D performance reports and metrics. All other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager. Essential skills include attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication, proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook), analytical and investigative abilities, ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment, and teamwork.
