Job Summary
A Certified Orthotist Prosthetist is responsible for comprehensive patient care, including assessment, treatment planning, device production, and follow-up. The role requires excellent skills in both upper and lower limb prosthetics and orthotics, working with patients across age groups. Essential qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in orthotics and prosthetics or a related field with certification from the relevant boards. Candidates must demonstrate excellent customer service and teamwork, alongside strict adherence to professional standards and regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in orthotics and prosthetics from a CAAHEP accredited program
- or a Bachelor’s degree or higher in any major along with a post-graduate orthotics and prosthetic certificate from a CAAHEP accredited program
- Certification by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics (CPO) or Board of Certification/Accreditation (BOC)
