Job Summary
The certified Orthotist assesses, manufactures, and fits orthotic appliances as prescribed by a physician, providing education to clients and team members regarding orthotic devices. Responsibilities include quality fabrication and adjustments for optimal client satisfaction, involvement in team conferences, consultation with physicians, and training of new technical staff. The role requires strong clinical and technical skills, effective communication, and adherence to licensing regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited orthotics prosthetics program, recognized by OPC
- Eligibility or current registration with OPC
Additional Requirements
- Preference for HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement
