Job Summary
Orthotics and Prosthetics Technician I at Scottish Rite for Children (Dallas/Frisco locations) fabricates orthoses and prostheses under the lab supervisor, creates plaster casts, thermoforms plastic, and performs finishing work on devices. Responsibilities include assisting practitioners, aligning and fitting devices with patients, inventory management, and training residents and students as assigned. The role requires interfacing with clinical and lab staff to apply varied fabrication techniques, and performing duties of a production assistant as needed. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and an ABC-recognized O&P certificate (or equivalent experience); ability to fabricate all device types as directed; strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills; and physical ability to handle demanding tasks and weights.
Required Qualifications

- Certificate from an ABC recognized O&P school, or a minimum of one year’s applicable technical experience
