Orthotic Technician

Job Summary
Conduct on-site orthotic fitting and minor modifications under the direct supervision of certified practitioners, adjusting devices to ensure proper fit, function, and medical efficacy. Examine and evaluate patient needs in relation to disease and functional loss to meet physician prescriptions, while instructing clients on prescribed device usage. Collaborate with orthotic fitters to assess device condition, reconcile patient issues, and monitor patients over time to make necessary changes. Deliver orthotic equipment to various locations on time, enter demographic information for insurance verification, and provide detailed clinical notes to patient records. Assume on-call responsibilities during non-business hours and comply with all federal, state, and local regulations including CMS, FDA, and OSHA standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency
- One (1) year of experience in providing customer services in a HME, health care setting, medical office, sports rehab, fitness, or retail environment
- Valid and unrestricted driver's license from state of residence
- Assume on-call responsibilities during non-business hours in accordance with company policy
