Orthotic Technician

Job Summary
Support orthotic practitioners by evaluating patient needs, performing fittings, and executing minor modifications under supervision. Assist fitters in adjusting devices to ensure proper fit, function, and medical efficacy while instructing patients on prescribed equipment use. Monitor devices over time, reconcile issues to ensure satisfaction, and deliver orthotic equipment to various locations on schedule. Provide detailed clinical notes, follow up with patients and physicians as needed, and assume on-call responsibilities during non-business hours. Maintain competency through ongoing education and review of professional literature. Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations including CMS, FDA, and OSHA standards while ensuring services meet accreditation requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency
- One (1) year of experience in providing customer services in a HME, health care setting, medical office, sports rehab, fitness, or retail environment
- Valid and unrestricted driver's license from state of residence
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
