Job Summary
Orthopedic Trauma Surgery Physician Assistant to join the team in Phoenix, AZ. Provide inpatient acute care for orthopedic patients, assist with preoperative, perioperative, and postoperative management, participate in a 24-hour First Call rotation, serve as first assist in orthopedic surgeries, round on inpatients, coordinate care with Medical and Trauma teams, consult on ER patients with diagnosis and care plans, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications and physical therapy as needed, participate in quality assurance/improvement, and work within a multidisciplinary team. Additional duties as assigned by leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Degree as a Physician Assistant (PA-C)
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- AZ Regulatory Board of Physician Assistants License
- NCCPA - National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant
- Valid DEA registration
- Must meet credentialing criteria for medical staff
- 3+ years Trauma experience
