Job Summary
Orthopedic Technician position assisting orthopedic doctors with treatments, applying and removing casts, fitting orthopedic devices, and providing patient instructions. Experience in DME insurance preferred, with an emphasis on customer service in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to apply, adjust and remove casts
- Ability to measure and fit patients for braces
- Assistance to Orthopedic Surgeon in reduction of fractures
- Instruct patients in care of casts and splints
- Instruct patients in the use of crutches and other DME
- Clean and stock patient exam and treatment rooms
- Monitor casting supply inventory
- Complete EMR documentation of services performed
- Triage patients' questions regarding casts, splints and DME
- Schedule patients for DME fittings
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience with DME insurance coverage
- 3+ years of experience casting lower and upper extremities

- Must have night and weekend availability
