Job Summary
Assemble and apply casts and braces according to physician orders. Assist with patient transport and perform patient rounds while maintaining compliance with Orlando Health policies. Participate in quality assurance and quality indicator initiatives as assigned. Complete regular equipment cleaning and in-service education related to orthopedic technician services. Charge patient accounts and maintain reasonably regular, punctual attendance. Requires current BLS certification and Medical Assistant training or one year of verifiable experience. Full-time Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM in Zephyrhills, FL.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification
- Successful completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school
- At least one (1) year of verifiable and applicable work experience as a Certified Medical Assistant in a patient care setting

- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) by National Health career Association (NHA)
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
- Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC) by the American Medical Certification Association (AMCA)
- National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) by National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
- Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) or Nationally Registered Certified Advanced Medical Assistant (NRCAMA) by the National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP)
- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) by American Medical Technologists (AMT)
- Certification or registration by the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
- Certification or registration by American Allied Health (AAH)
