Job Summary
Orthopedic Hand Surgeon needed to join a growing, high-performing team at MercyOne Genesis. Fellowship-trained in Hand & Upper Extremity Surgery, the candidate will help design, develop, and elevate a comprehensive Hand & Upper Extremity program from day one, manage hand/wrist/forearm/elbow pathology including complex fractures, nerve and tendon injuries, and microsurgery, and work with emergency medicine, primary care, anesthesia, hospitalists, and therapy teams. The role offers autonomy to build the practice with strong institutional support, a predictable schedule with shared call, relocation assistance up to $15,000, and generous time off and benefits. A strong candidate will possess the skills to establish a best-in-class hand surgery program within a Level III Trauma Center and is open to graduates and experienced surgeons alike.
Required Qualifications
- BC/BE Orthopedic Hand Surgeon
- fellowship-trained in Hand & Upper Extremity Surgery
- ability to obtain Iowa and Illinois medical licenses
- shared evening and weekend call (1:8)
- Level III Trauma Center experience
- strong clinical and surgical skill set
- open to graduating fellows and experienced surgeons
