Job Summary
Orthopedic Surgeon sought for foot and ankle specialty with a busy surgical practice split between Boise and Nampa clinics. Responsibilities include maintaining a minimum patient contact load (clinic) of 32 hours per week plus procedures, rounding, and consults; support across general orthopedics with call coverage (1:5). Emphasis on advancing foot and ankle knowledge through research and education; practice involves total joint replacement and aiding athletes in return-to-sport. Requires MD or DO, completion of an ACGME/CanERA orthopedic residency, ABOS/AOBOS board certification (or within three years), active membership in the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, Idaho and Oregon medical licensure and privileges, and DEA registration. Relocation is included in the recruitment package. This opportunity is with Saint Alphonsus Medical Group, spanning Boise and Nampa, within the Saint Alphonsus Health System.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
- Successful completion of ACGME or CanERA accredited orthopedic residency program
- Board certification through ABOS or AOBOS (or obtain within three years)
- Member in good standing of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society
- Idaho and Oregon medical licensure and granting of privileges at SARMC or other affiliated hospitals
- Valid controlled substance registration with Board of Pharmacy and DEA
- Willingness to take general orthopedic call
