Job Summary
Orthopedic Surgeon opportunity split between Boise and Nampa clinics with a focus on foot and ankle orthopedics, including total joint replacement and athlete rehabilitation. Responsibilities include a proactive approach to practice development for Idaho and neighboring states; advancing knowledge through research and education; 32 patient contact hours per week plus procedures, rounding, and consults; on-call coverage (1:5). Requires MD or DO, successful completion of an ACGME/CanERA orthopedic residency, ABOS/AOBOS board certification (or within 3 years), active membership in the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, Idaho and Oregon medical licensure and privileges at SARMC as needed, and DEA registration. Recruitment package includes sign-on incentives, relocation, PTO & CME, malpractice tail, and health/dental/vision, retirement, and more.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
- Successful completion of ACGME or CanERA accredited orthopedic residency program
- Board certification through ABOS or AOBOS - or obtain within three years
- Member in good standing of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society
- Idaho and Oregon medical licensure and granting of privileges at SARMC other health system affiliated hospitals as needed
- Valid controlled substance registration with Board of Pharmacy and DEA
- Willingness to take general orthopedic call
