Job Summary
Provide full-spectrum orthopedic care including general and pediatric cases in office, outpatient, or inpatient settings. Manage acute injuries, fractures, joint conditions, and elective/trauma surgeries. Deliver "non-trauma" on-call coverage for Emanuel Hospital and participate in Level IV trauma calls. Conduct office follow-ups, complete medical records, coding, and billing. Teach in the OHSU orthopedic surgery resident education program and contribute to quality assurance and research initiatives. Treat patients across the full age spectrum from infants to geriatric.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of four-year U.S. Medical School or equivalent
- Completion of ACGME accredited residency in orthopedic surgery
- Medical License for the applicable state
- Membership on LPH Medical Staff
- Board Eligible/Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association
- ATLS required for trauma privileges
- Participation in Level IV trauma call is required
Desired Qualifications
- Fellowship in subspecialty area of orthopedic surgery preferred
- Ideal for an orthopedic surgeon with a desire to be part of a growing orthopedic practice working with both adult and pediatric patients
- Foot & Ankle or Hand subspecialty a plus
- Two to three years experience in the management of orthopedic trauma preferred
