Job Summary
Fellowship-trained Orthopedic Sports Medicine Surgeon sought to join MercyOne Genesis, a growing program in the Quad Cities. The role offers autonomy to shape a comprehensive sports medicine program within a high-performing orthopedic team, immediate case volume, and collaboration across physical therapy, athletic trainers, primary care sports medicine, emergency medicine, anesthesia, and pain management. Candidates should be skilled in advanced arthroscopy, ligament reconstruction, cartilage restoration, and both shoulder and knee surgery with a focus on athletes and active adults. The position provides a two-year guaranteed salary with production incentives, relocation assistance, strong leadership and system support, and a pathway to building a premier sports medicine program within a supportive environment.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Fellowship trained in Orthopedic Sports Medicine
- ABOS Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Ability to obtain Iowa and Illinois medical licenses
- Strong arthroscopic and open sports surgery skills (shoulder, knee, hip optional)
- Excellent communication skills and a team-focused mindset
- Open to graduating fellows and experienced surgeons
