Job Summary
Deliver direct clinical care and perioperative management for orthopedic trauma and complex foot/ankle cases, including ankle arthroplasties, supported by midlevel providers and residents. Lead, mentor, and teach within an academic environment by collaborating with University of Arizona orthopedic residents and participating in interdisciplinary programs. Engage in ongoing quality improvement, specialty program development, and hospital committee work while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams across the VA and community partners. Practice at a 295-bed Flagship Joint Commission-accredited level 1a teaching hospital on a serene 150-acre campus in Tucson, Arizona.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship
- MD/DO or equivalent
- completion of an ACGME-accredited residency
- Board Certified/Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
- Active, full, and unrestricted license in any U.S. state
Desired Qualifications
- Fellowship training or strong experience in foot and ankle surgery (including arthroplasty)
