Job Summary
Orthopedic Surgeon focusing on foot and ankle joins the Southern Arizona VA Healthcare System in Tucson. The role encompasses direct clinical and perioperative care for orthopedic trauma with emphasis on foot and ankle surgery, teaching and mentoring residents, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and participation in quality improvement and program development within a Level 1a teaching hospital environment. The position offers a competitive salary range ($325k-$400k/year) with recruitment/relocation incentives, loan-reduction support, generous time off, retirement benefits, comprehensive insurance, malpractice coverage, CME support, and licensure flexibility. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm; visa sponsorship not specified. Required Qualifications
- MD/DO or equivalent
- ACGME-accredited residency in Orthopedic Surgery
- Fellowship in foot and ankle or strong experience (arthroplasty) preferred
- Active, full, and unrestricted license in any U.S. state
- Board Certified or Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
- U.S. Citizenship or eligible per VA policy
