Job Summary
Orthopedic Surgeon opportunity with the U.S. Army Medical Department. Performs surgical and nonsurgical treatment of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions in Soldiers and their families, using diagnostic skills and state-of-the-art equipment. Role includes opportunities for research, ongoing education, and leadership development within Army Medical Corps; active duty or Army Reserve options available, with travel opportunities and comprehensive benefits. Located in Salt Lake City, UT. Must hold an MD or DO, be licensed to practice in the US, and meet GME and board eligibility requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited U.S. medical school
- Current license to practice medicine in the United States (DC or PR acceptable)
- Permanent U.S. residency for Army Reserve
- Board eligibility/board certification
- Completed at least one year of approved GME internship
- U.S. citizenship to serve Active Duty
Additional Requirements
- Must be between 21 and 42 years of age (waivers on a case-by-case basis)
- Foreign graduates may apply with permanent ECFMG certificate
