Orthopedic Sports Medicine Surgeon

Orthopedic Sports Medicine Surgeon sought to join a community-based, academically connected healthcare system in Prince George's County, Maryland. Responsibilities include diagnosing and managing sports-related musculoskeletal conditions (surgical and non-surgical), performing arthroscopic and open procedures across knee, shoulder, hip, elbow, and ankle, supporting local school and community athletic programs, providing call coverage, maintaining precise EHR documentation, participating in quality improvement, team meetings, and ongoing education, with optional involvement in clinical teaching or research through academic affiliations. Qualifications require an MD or DO, completion of an ACGME orthopedic surgery residency, fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine, board certification or eligibility in orthopedic surgery, an active Maryland license or eligibility, and proficiency in arthroscopic techniques (ACL reconstruction, rotator cuff repair, labral repairs, meniscal surgery, cartilage restoration).
