Job Summary
Orthopedic Sports Medicine Surgeon sought to join a community-based, academically connected healthcare system in Prince George's County, MD. Fellowship-trained, board-certified or board-eligible candidate will provide high-volume sports medicine care, performing advanced arthroscopic and open procedures across knee, shoulder, hip, elbow, and ankle. Responsibilities include diagnosing and managing sports-related musculoskeletal conditions, caring for local school and community athletic programs, call coverage, thorough EHR documentation, participation in quality improvement, team meetings, and continuing education, with optional involvement in clinical teaching or research through academic affiliations. Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Orthopedic Surgery Residency
- Fellowship training in Orthopedic Sports Medicine
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
- Active Maryland medical license or eligibility to obtain one
- Proficiency in arthroscopic techniques, with experience in ACL reconstruction, rotator cuff repair, labral repairs, meniscal surgery, and cartilage restoration
