Job Summary
Develop and deliver personalized treatment plans based on comprehensive evaluations of patient needs and goals for individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal conditions. Manage a balanced patient load while utilizing expertise in manual therapy to guide assessments, implement protocols, and modify plans as needed. Design and execute fitness programs incorporating strength training, flexibility, and coordination drills, while promoting non-surgical interventions to improve mobility and reduce medication reliance. Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons and occupational therapists, regularly assess outcomes, and document progress in the electronic medical records system. Work a structured schedule from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, in our modern Oakland facility.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- Active physical therapist license in the state of California (or eligibility for licensure)
- Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exercise prescription
- Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically Web PT, for efficient documentation
- Commitment to ongoing education and training, with a solid understanding of current physical therapy methodologies
Desired Qualifications
- Two or more years of experience as a physical therapist, with a focus on orthopedic therapy
- Experience working in a sports medicine or similar multidisciplinary environment
