Job Summary
Conduct thorough initial patient evaluations to assess physical therapy needs, utilizing a variety of assessment tools and protocols. Design and implement personalized treatment plans integrating evidence-based practices, including manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercises. Educate and provide guidance to patients and their families on rehabilitation processes, injury prevention strategies, and overall wellness. Continuously monitor patient progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes. Document all treatment sessions comprehensively in our electronic health record system to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient information. Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation staff, to deliver holistic care. Manage a caseload of 6 to 7 sessions per day serving individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and sports-related issues.
Required Qualifications
- A valid New York State license to practice as a Physical Therapist
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field
Desired Qualifications
- a preference for candidates holding a Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Physical Therapist, particularly within an outpatient orthopedic setting
- Familiarity with current best-practice methodologies in orthopedic rehabilitation
- Experience in using rehabilitation technologies and tools to enhance patient outcomes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and team members
