Job Summary
The Orthopedic Physician Assistant (PA-C) at CAO will provide patient care in a Walk-In setting, treating acute and chronic orthopedic conditions under the direction of a supervising physician. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive physical examinations, administering diagnostic tests, performing therapeutic procedures, developing patient management plans, and ensuring compliance with guidelines and policies. Required qualifications include completion of an accredited PA program, BLS certification, and preferred experience of two years, particularly in orthopedic or primary care settings. Strong interpersonal skills, organization, communication, and proficiency in EMR systems are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Program
- BLS Certification required
- 2 years’ experience preferred
- Must maintain CEU's in pertinent clinical practice according to licensure requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in patient care, primarily in Orthopedic or Primary Care settings
- Experience and proficiency working with computers and electronic medical records
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of EMR systems
