Job Summary

Assist licensed physical therapists in evaluating patients and implementing individualized treatment programs for those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal conditions. Utilize therapeutic modalities including heat, cold, and electrical stimulation to optimize recovery while monitoring and documenting patient progress to adjust approaches as necessary. Educate patients on self-care techniques and exercise protocols to promote independence, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to align treatment strategies. Work onsite Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM in a skilled nursing facility in Arlington, Texas. Prior experience in orthopedic settings and proficiency in therapeutic exercises are preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid PTA license in the state of Texas or be eligible to obtain one
  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field

Desired Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in orthopedic settings
  • Proficient in physical therapy evaluation techniques, therapeutic exercises, and patient education practices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing compassionate care
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team, as well as independently when required
  • Knowledge of physical therapy documentation standards and electronic health record systems
  • Prior experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation facility
  • Demonstrated proficiency in assisting with manual therapies and rehabilitative exercises
  • Experience using therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and therapeutic ultrasound
  • Familiarity with diverse rehabilitation techniques and patient education strategies
